Kabir Das

The great saint and mystic poet Kabir Das was born in the 15th century.  There are many differences regarding their date of birth and place of birth, so it is not clear when and where they were born.  Most scholars consider the birth of Kabirdas in a pond called Ramatara in Kashi.  He has also written a phrase in relation to his place of birth, which is as follows: "Ramanand warns of the full moon in Kashi."

It is said that his mother was a widowed Brahmini, who left him near Ram Tara Talab in his childhood.  After this, Kabir Das was brought up in a Muslim family, the name of his real parents is not certified.  According to some scholars, Muslim husband and wife named Neeru and Neema nurtured Kabir Das.  Weaver named Neeru was found near Kabir Ramtara pond.  It is also described in a couplet written by Kabir Das  - “Jati Julaha Naam Kabira”, Bani Bani Phiro udasi.

Kabirdas had a heartfelt desire that his mentor Sant Acharya Ramanand be made but Acharya Ramanand refused to make Kabir Das his master.  But Kabir Das also decided that he would make his mentor Acharya Ramanand.

Once in the morning at Bela, when Ramanand  was taking a bath in the Ganges, Kabir Das lay down on the steps of the temple on his way, and when Ramanand was returning after bathing, he fell on Kabir Das and  The word "Ram" came out of Kabir Das's mouth.  Seeing this, Acharya Ramanand  made Kabir Das his disciple and started teaching him.  Kabir Das did not like the words Hindu and Muslim at all.  They believed everyone to be the son of the same God.

Kabirdas believed that according to our deeds we get fruits and he has also explained it in all his doos.  To prove this at the last moment, they started living in Maghar, because some people said that people who die in Maghar get hell and those who die in Kashi go to heaven.  To prove this concept wrong, he took his last breath in Maghar.  Even today, Kabir Das's tomb is built in Maghar.  There is no strong evidence regarding his death, but according to some scholars, he died in Samvat 1551.
