Sant Dnyaneshwar  is a famous 13th century Marathi saint.  The deity of the Warkari sect.  Saint Dnyaneshwar was born at Apegaon near Paithan in Aurangabad district.  To help the common people understand the Bhagavad Gita, Dnyaneshwar translated the commentary on the Bhagavad Gita under the name Bhavarthadipika which is popularly known as Dnyaneshwari.  Bhavarthadipika was translated by Dnyaneshwar at Nevasa in Ahmednagar district.  At the age of 21, he took Sanjeevan Samadhi at Alandi in Pune district.  Saint Dnyaneshwar was born to a Kulkarni couple named Vitthalpant and Rukminibai.  Nivruti was his elder brother and his younger siblings were Sopandev and Muktabai.  His father Vitthalpant had left Grihasthashram and accepted Sannyasashram.  But again accepted the Grihasthashrama as ordered by the Guru.  In the society of that time, a hermit was not allowed to accept Grihasthashram, so Vitthalpant and his family were thrown into the sand.  Vitthalpant and Rukminibai died due to unbearable suffering from the society.  To Dnyaneshwar and his siblings after the death of his parents.

After the death of his parents, Dnyaneshwar and his siblings were severely harassed by the society.  They were denied basic necessities like food and water.  The then Sanatani community left this family in the lurch.  He also refused to harass the children.  Nivruti, Dnyandev, Sopan, Muktabai, Eknath, Namdev, Tukaram is a common gathering of saints at the head of the Warkari sect in Maharashtra.  Dnyaneshwar considers Nivruttinath as his Guru.  All four children were virtuous, truthful, virtuous.  Explain the meaning of Bhagavad Gita in Sanskrit in folk language, Nivruttinath commanded Dnyan Deva and Dnyaneshwar wrote Dnyaneshwari.  Dnyaneshwari is a storehouse of knowledge.  The language is wonderfully sweet.  There is a huge sea of ​​metaphors, allusions, allusions, words.  From the poems in it, the vine of life-long devotion in medicine, botany, astronomy, yoga has grown.  The sky is wide.  That vine has innumerable experiential flowers.  Devotees are immersed in the juicy flow of enlightenment.



The scripture of Hinduism came in folk language in the form of Dnyaneshwari.  As Dnyaneshwar had a vision of the universe, he conveyed it to the masses.  After completing that scripture, Dnyaneshwar took Samadhi by writing Amritanubhav.  He was only 22 at the time.  They have made demands in Pasay Dana. 



Saint Dnyaneshwar composed words in very juicy language.  Together with Saint Namdeo, he spread the Bhagwat Dharma Warkari sect.  The Warkari sect, which has a tradition of 700 years, still has millions of followers in Maharashtra.  Texts written by Dnyaneshwar Bhavarthadipika i.e. Dnyaneshwari Hundreds of Marathi Abhangs (e.g. Dnyaneshwar Haripath) Changdev Pasashti Amritanubhav The influence of Saint Dnyaneshwar on Marathi culture is still undiminished.
